Haji Muhammad Rafiq Giga stepped into his family business of textiles in 1982 which was established by his father Haji Abdul Rahim Giga in 1956. Haji Muhammad Rafiq Giga strategically focused on non-traditional and non-quota regions like Africa for trade in textile, made-ups, and machinery. Under his leadership Mian Akber Trading Corporation in Pakistan has won the Largest Exporter to Non Quota Countries award for the past 17 years.

Haji Muhammad Rafiq Giga believes in challenges. Under his captaincy, the company carved a name in the African market with a unit in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania with a workforce of over 5000 that earned the appreciation of the President of Tanzania for contribution to the Tanzanian economy.

In 1994 he ventured into the bullion market by establishing Mazyood Jewellery LLC in UAE. Soon it became one of the leading traders of bullion in the UAE and the subcontinent. The excellent working relationship with Union Bank of Switzerland Warburg, brought Mazyood Jewellery the title of the most active client of the year 2000. Ever enterprising, Haji Rafiq established Al Ghurair Giga Gold Refinery in 2003 at the Dubai Multi Commodity Centre (DMCC) in UAE. The project is a joint venture between the Al Ghurair Group and the Giga Group.

Haji Rafiq then entered the arena of construction and property development and established ventures in Pakistan and UAE. He established joint ventures with EMAAR - one of the largest property developers in the world and the Al Ghurair Group - one of the biggest groups of UAE with businesses all over the world. Besides his remarkable business acumen and success, Haji Rafiq is also known for his philanthropy. He is encourages the young by providing the deserving with the opportunities for higher education and personally devotes a significant time to mentoring.

Haji Rafiq is a member of the Swiss Business Council, Dubai and an active member on the Advisory Board of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan. Today all Giga Group Companies have the privilege of the leadership of Haji Muhammad Rafiq.

Mr. Amir Haji Amin, a young yet seasoned entrepreneur, with a passion and determination for achieving high-value standards. And is presently the Vice Chairman of Mazyood Giga International, the property-developing arm of Giga Group; actively steering the strategic planning, implementation and launching of the ‘Goldcrest,’ The development matured to become a successful brand that gained overwhelming response and trust from well over 5,000 satisfied customers.

Giga Real Estate is another property-specialist company in Dubai of the Giga Group, dedicated exclusively to Goldcrest projects, for which Mr. Amin is its Chief Executive. Contracting and Development are its primary activity. The company takes pride in having professionals chosen for their in-depth knowledge of the Dubai property scene, only to facilitate the clients with unbeatable real estate services such as selling, buying and re-selling.
As gold is the family’s core business, the group has set up Al Ghurair Giga Gold Refinery in which Mr. Amin is an active member. The refinery is located at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), an established free zone that consists of refineries, manufacturing units and offices.

Mr. Amin’s vision is to expand the Group’s operation to the sub-continent, and beyond. To achieve his global vision the Group has entered into a joint venture with a Malaysian public company – IJM, which has more than 3,000 shareholders, and formed IJM Gulf Limited in Pakistan.

Mr. Hamza joined the group in 2004 as a Director of Al Ghurair Giga Pakistan PVT Limited and also is personally involved in marketing Goldcrest DHA Islamabad project.
Goldcrest DHA Islamabad is majestically located against the spectacular majestic DHA Phase-II, Islamabad and is just 15 minutes away from airport;  right on Sheikh Said Bin Sultan Road.
